  • Press and hold both the “Power button” and “Volume down button” on the right-hand side at the same time.
  • A screen flash can be seen and the screenshot gets captured.
  • The screenshot will be saved in “Screenshots” album/folder in your Gallery.

Using a Palm Swipe:

No need to touch any hardware buttons in this method. The only thing you need to do is swipe the entire screen with your hand. On the majority of Samsung devices, this method is present and known as Palm gesture. Follow these steps to enable Palm gesture and for taking a screenshot.

  • Go to device “Settings” and tap “Advanced features”.
  • Click on the “Palm swipe to capture” to enable.
  • Open the content you wish to capture.
  • Swipe your hand across the display either left or right side to take a screenshot.
  • A screen flash can be seen and screenshot gets captured.
  • Finally, the screenshot will be seen within the Gallery and remains in your notifications

For capturing the entire page on the screen or a long screenshot this method comes handy. Follow the steps for taking a screenshot by using the scroll capture.

  • Open the content you wish to capture.
  • Either any of the methods can be used from above two methods for taking a screenshot.
  • After capturing the screenshot you may find multiple options at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on ” Scroll capture”.
  • Once after capturing the screenshot you can edit or crop or share directly from the menu.
  • For enabling the Smart Capture go to Settings>Advanced features>Smart Capture.

Using Smart Select:

A useful way to capture the information on the display with a feature known as Smart select. You need to use your S Pen that can be accessed through an edge of the screen panel. Within the Edge panel, a Smart select feature can be deactivated within settings. Enable or disable by going to Settings>Display>Edge Screen>Edge Panel.

  • Open the content you wish to capture.
  • Either use the S Pen and click on Smart Select.
  • Or else open the edge panel with a swipe on left or right until you find the “Smart select”.
  • Select any mode such as rectangle or square or circle or GIF as you prefer.
  • Resize the frame and click on done.
  • If you want to create a GIF tap on record and stop when you are done.
  • Select the area you want to capture by following the instructions.
